When reaching out or seeking specific individuals that pique your interest via a social media outlet always think of how you would like to be approached. Begin with a cordial opening such as, "Good morning" i.e. (time of day) or "How are you, my name is....". From there express the interest to network & ask if they're open to networking at the present time. Allow them to respond to your initial post & pay attention to their tone or mood from their response. Once you've established that connection continue to stay in touch & interact on a weekly or bi-weekly basis after exchanging contact information.
First of all, I would like to say that you did an excellent job of developing your blog. I think it is a cool way to engage others who stumble upon your blog by talking about social media etiquette because I feel it is important. I think it is important for people to practice this in order to provide a healthy discussion online. If people do not use these rules it becomes less personal and not as healthy of a discussion overall.
